We believe every wall should tell a story. In our Istanbul workshop, we design and handcraft 3D wooden maps from premium birch plywood, carefully layered and hand-painted to bring warmth, texture, and meaning to modern interiors. What began as a small craft project grew into a global journey — and today MapofX maps live on walls in dozens of countries, inspiring people to pin their memories and dream of where to go next.
How It Started
MapofX was born from a love of design, travel, and wood. We set out to create wall art that feels personal: a piece that celebrates journeys and becomes part of home life. From day one, our focus has been the same — uncompromising materials, clean design, and a smooth experience from unboxing to installation.
How We Craft
- Material Selection: We source high-quality birch plywood with a fine, consistent grain.
- Precision Cutting: Laser cutting ensures crisp geography and seamless puzzle-like fit.
- Hand Finishing: Each piece is hand-sanded and hand-painted with durable, elegant tones.
- Layering & Detailing: 3D layering creates depth; compasses, islands, and engraving add character.
- Quality Check & Packaging: Every map is inspected, protected with foam inserts, and packed with an installation template and VHB adhesive set for hassle-free setup.

Is installation difficult?
No. The paper guide shows exactly where each piece goes; VHB tapes are included. Most installations take 1–2 hours.
Do you offer different languages or styles?
Yes. English and German are available, with styles from Blank to Plus (names + capitals).
Can I customize my map?
Absolutely — islands, compasses, engraved names, and country highlights are available on request.
Where do you ship?
Worldwide, via express couriers with tracking.
