What are MapofX wooden maps made of?
Our maps are handcrafted in our Istanbul workshop from natural birch plywood. Each piece is laser-cut and hand-finished, and our world maps are hand-painted and layered to create a 3D depth effect.
What sizes are available?
World maps range from 110 × 60 cm (43 × 23 in) to 310 × 165 cm (122 × 65 in). Country maps are available in the sizes shown on each product page.
What is the difference between Blank, Basic and Plus?
Blank has no names. Basic shows country names. Plus adds capitals, and on the world map the USA, Canada and Australia are split into states. Plus is not available in the smallest size.
How do I install my map?
Every map comes with a paper installation guide and high-bond VHB double-sided tape, and no drilling is needed. Most world maps take 1–2 hours to install, and country maps usually take less time. See our installation guide.
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes. Shipping is free to the US, EU, UK and Canada. For other countries, shipping is calculated at checkout. We ship with FedEx, DHL or UPS and email you a tracking number once your order is on its way.
Will I have to pay customs, import duties or VAT when my order arrives?
No. Every order is shipped with duties, import taxes and VAT already paid, to every destination. The price you see at checkout is the final price, and you should not have to pay anything extra when the parcel arrives. If you are ever charged a duty, VAT or import fee by mistake, please contact us at destek@mapofx.com and we will review the charge and reimburse it where applicable.
How long does delivery take?
Orders are usually prepared in 2–4 business days. After dispatch, delivery takes 2–4 business days to the UK and Europe, 3–5 to the United States and Canada, and 5–7 to other destinations.
Can I personalize my map?
Yes, within limits. We can make minor color adjustments or add a title or note on the map. Please contact us before ordering at destek@mapofx.com so we can confirm what is possible. Custom maps are made to order and cannot normally be returned.
Which languages are available?
Maps are available with English or German labels. Contact us if you need another language.
What is your return policy?
You can request a return within 30 days of receiving your order if the map is unused and uninstalled. Return shipping is free for approved returns. Please contact us before sending anything back. Installed maps and custom maps cannot normally be returned, and customers in the EU and UK may have additional statutory rights. See our Refund policy.
What if a part is missing or damaged?
Email destek@mapofx.com with your order number and clear photos. Depending on the issue, we can send replacement parts, a replacement map or a refund.
